WEC 2027 calendar: nine rounds, Silverstone returns and Le Mans on 12 June
The FIA World Endurance Championship has nine rounds in 2027, the most in a decade. The season opens with the Qatar 1812km on 27 March and ends with the 8 Hours of Bahrain on 6 November, and the 6 Hours of Silverstone returns after eight years away. The WEC published the calendar at Le Mans on 12 June 2026, after approval by the FIA World Motor Sport Council.

Silverstone is back after eight years
The 6 Hours of Silverstone on 25 April is the only new name compared with the venues the WEC has used in recent seasons. FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem called its return “an important milestone for the championship”. It sits between Imola and Spa, which makes the spring run three European six-hour races in five weeks.
That Silverstone weekend is also the opening weekend of the 2027 DTM season at the Red Bull Ring, so the two championships share 23-25 April.
Qatar and Bahrain return after a season without them
In 2026 both Middle East rounds were dropped because of the conflict in the region, and the WEC replaced them with races at Barcelona and Monza (Racer, and our report on the Qatar cancellation). The 2027 calendar as published brings Qatar back as the opener and Bahrain as the finale. Neither Barcelona nor Monza is on it.
Three 24-hour races in five weeks
Le Mans runs on 12 and 13 June, two weeks after the Nürburgring 24 Hours (27 to 30 May) and two weeks before the 24 Hours of Spa (24 to 27 June).
