About Us

Motorsport, told properly

RNT-Motorsports is an independent motorsport publication. We cover Formula 1, Formula 2, IndyCar and endurance racing — from the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie and GT World Challenge to the FIA WEC and the great 24-hour classics at Le Mans, Spa and the Nordschleife.

We are here for the reader who wants more than a results table. What happened, why it happened, and what it means for the rest of the season.

What makes us different

We say what we know, and we say what we don’t. Racing runs on rumour. We only publish paddock talk when there is a demonstrable core of truth behind it, and we always label it as unconfirmed. No clickbait, no speculation about people’s private lives. Our full Editorial Policy sets out exactly how we work.

Through Her Eyes. Our permanent section on women in motorsport. Drivers, engineers, strategists and mechanics who shape this sport and rarely get the coverage they deserve — and a place where readers can submit their own story. Nobody else covers this ground the way we do.

The fan’s point of view. Alongside the reporting we make room for the experience itself: the race weekend from the grandstand, the noise, the wait, the people around you. That is not filler. It is why most of us fell for this sport in the first place.

Meet the founder

RNT-Motorsports was founded in early 2025 by Jakob van Putten. For Jakob, racing started as a hobby. He has followed the sport since 1994, and the rise of Dutch talent like Max Verstappen made him follow it more closely, from Formula 1 to endurance racing, the FIA WEC and GT World Challenge.

He started RNT-Motorsports because he enjoys bringing the news himself, and because he wants to share that enthusiasm: with fans who already follow every session, and with people who are only just discovering how much there is to enjoy in motorsport.

Today Jakob no longer does it alone. RNT-Motorsports is run by an enthusiastic team who share that same passion and keep the site up to date together, from the first practice session to the final lap.
