NLS Calendar 2027
The Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie published its 2027 calendar on 11 September 2026. Eight races across seven weekends on the Nordschleife, opening on 20 March and closing on 9 October. The season carries more than the usual weight: NLS bills 2027 as its fiftieth-anniversary year, fifty years after the series was founded in 1977, and it falls in the same year as the Nürburgring’s hundredth birthday.

The season splits into two halves with a long gap
The shape of the year is unchanged from what NLS regulars are used to. Two races in spring, then nothing between the middle of April and the beginning of July while the Nordschleife gives its calendar over to the 24-hour race and its supporting events. The series then runs five races in fourteen weeks from July to October.
One six-hour race and one double-header
NLS 4 on 7 August is the long one, six hours rather than the standard four. The other deviation from the pattern is the weekend of 11 and 12 September, when rounds five and six run back to back on consecutive days, each over four hours. That gives teams two full race distances on one set of travel and garage costs.
Fifty years of the series, one hundred years of the circuit
Endurance racing on the Nordschleife in this form dates back to 1977. By the series’ own count 2026 was the fiftieth season, and 2027 is the fiftieth anniversary of the founding. The Nürburgring itself opened in 1927. NLS has said it intends to mark both, though the detail of what that looks like on any given weekend has not been published.
The NLS calendar does not stand alone in 2027
The 2026 NLS season page has this year’s results and reports. For next year, NLS is not the only thing running on the 24-hour layout. ADAC Nordrhein had planned a 24h Nürburgring Series from 2027 and postponed it to 2028 on 11 September, but the events around the main race still run: the Prologue on 2-4 April, the 24h Qualifiers on 30 April to 2 May and the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring itself on 27-30 May.
