Results Bahrain Grand Prix 2026
The 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix takes place at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, round 16 of the season, with the race on Sunday 4 October. The Grand Prix keeps its Bahrain name after moving to Sepang, Formula 1’s first visit to the Malaysian circuit since 2017. The official classifications for qualifying and the race appear below as soon as each session ends.
Max Verstappen took pole position with a 1:35.130, 0.298 seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton, and was fastest in Q1, Q2 and Q3. Read our qualifying report.

Known grid penalties before qualifying: Isack Hadjar drops five places for a seventh internal combustion engine, Arvid Lindblad starts from the back after exceeding several power unit elements, and Franco Colapinto drops fifteen places in total (ten for a fifth engine plus five carried over from Baku). After qualifying, Hadjar moves from third to eighth, and Colapinto and Lindblad start at the back. The order of those two will follow from the official starting grid.
