Qualifying works in two steps per class: a short qualifying session, after which the fastest cars go through to Hyperpole, which sets the front of the grid. How that works, and what Hypercar and LMGT3 mean: FIA WEC explained.

FIAWEC+ shows every session live, Rai has the race in Italy

The official streaming platform FIAWEC+ (plus.fiawec.com) shows every session live, with live timing, on-board cameras and replays. There is a year-round pass and a pass for the finale only. In Italy, Rai shows the race live for the first time: it starts on Rai Sport and moves to Rai 2 from 15:30 CET. Broadcasters in other countries are listed on the FIA WEC “Where to watch” page.

Sunday is a double for fans who follow both championships: the WEC finishes around 17:00 CET and the Formula 1 São Paulo Grand Prix starts an hour later, at 18:00 CET. São Paulo Grand Prix 2026 start times.

Fifth place is enough for the #8 Toyota

On the official standings after Barcelona, the #8 crew of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa has 114 points. The #7 of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries has 97. A six-hour race pays 25 points for the win and one point for Hypercar pole, so 26 is the most any crew can add on Saturday and Sunday together. If the #7 wins from pole, the #8 still takes the title with fifth place, worth ten points.

That makes Saturday’s Hyperpole at 15:20 CET the first moment to watch: one point for the #7 narrows the margin before the race. Monza is also Mike Conway’s last race as a professional driver. Toyota already won the manufacturers’ title in Barcelona.

The LMGT3 title is also decided on Sunday. All points and both classes: WEC standings 2026.
